The steamed dumplings are awesome ! The sauce that comes with it is amazing . We pretty much ordered everything on the menu :x everything was delicious! I was extremely surprised to see the 2 and a half stars . Regardless of the rating this is a place you should try :)

I'm from N. J. and had Chinatown practically around the corner. I get it that that quality of Chinese food is near impossible to find. So I've lowered my expectations. HOWEVER!!! This Chinese food might as well have been made at McDonald's and it might have been better. I bought $50 worth of take out. There was not a mouthful of edible food! It even my dog turned her nose up at it. Enough said. There another Shanghai City on 441 North of commercial. Sooooo much better and they do dim sum. And as in Chinatown, they have duck, spare ribs having in the window. Check it out! You'll remember what good Chinese food is.

This place was great, the boneless ribs were similar to an old time favorite that's so hard to find ( pork strips) and the food overall was great!!!

I would give it half star but gave one because there was no option for half. Any way the experience was bad. I order from this place because I work close by. At lunch they are ok for small items such as soup. This time I took my family and try it for dinner. What a mistake. I wanted to have the soup and the other two people in my party order the chicken with Garlic and chicken with vegetable. The waiter tells me that I cannot have my soup because it has to be an entree. I was forced to order an entree and when the food sat on the table. The waiter came to ask why I am not eating. And stood by the table at all times. You cant help but think that she had to put something bad in the food. The food tasted bland. Took it in a doggy bag and dumped in the garbage outside. Waisted 60.00. On this food. I will never go there again lunch or dinner.

For a Florida Chinese restaurant this place if excellent. A bit more expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants for dinner but not by much. The lunch specials during the week are very nicely priced even cheap and the early bird (seated by 6 PM) very reasonable with nice portions as well For a neighborhood Chinese type restaurant the food is very well prepared for the standard dishes and some not so standard Chinese dishes like pan fried flounder which was very well made and presented. The atmosphere is courteous and friendly and the setting and views very pleasant. I grew up on Chinese food in NY Chinatown and I am not saying this place is quite up to that but for down here (South Florida) a lot better than I expected and am able to obtain in most other places around here.

I'll never stand in line at PF Chang's again! Fabulous food in a clean white table cloth setting at more than reasonable prices. Friendly courteous service too. They'll make off-menu dishes if you ask. Try the Sechwan tofu, not on the menu, but among the best we ever tasted. Hidden away in a small plaza where Jasmin's used to be. In the same center as the Hilton hotel on Glades and the Turnpike. Drive in near Suntrust. A great find we keep going back to and always find delightful. BTW lots of free parking

We have been going to Shanghai City twice or more each month for more than three years. The manager knows us, the staff knows us, we rarely need a menu. Last night dinner was a disaster. When we were seated it took five minutes to get a waitress and five more to get a glass of water. Then thirty minutes to get some dumplings. This is bad but it got worse. Twenty minutes later, we got our main dishes, we had ordered Lamb Chops and Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, we got a plate of sizzling lamb and the waitress argued and told us this was how they do lamb chops. We sent it back and tried to eat the eggplant in garlic sauce. It was a gluttonous mess of overcooked vegetables we gave up after eating about half. We asked for the check and went to McDonalds. It would have been nice if they had comped us for the dumplings and the eggplant but they did not. I would recommend that you stay clear of this restaurant until the summer when the demands on their management and staff are in line with what they can deliver.

Simply the best Chinese food in Boca Raton by far. Excellent quality. See the Take Out Combination Menu for the best pricing you'll find anywhere.

This is the first Chinese food we sampled in South Florida. After eating at hundreds of Chinese restaurants in NY and Florida I can confidently write that this was the worst rendition of Chinese fare I have ever sampled! I am guessing that the processed chicken we were served had to come from a can. It was that disgusting. We left two mounds of food (Kung Pau Chicken and some other dish) on our plates, paid the bill and left. Avoid like the plague.

The food was excellent, but the service was inexplicably slow. I ordered hot and sour soup, crab Rangoon and the house fried rice. The soup came out right away, and was very tasty with a good portion of both mushrooms and tofu. I finished that and then I had to wait a while for the crab Rangoon - also good, if a bit overdone. Then the wait began. It seemed they only had one person delivering food to all tables - and it was a busy Sunday night. When the fried rice arrived, it was hot and fresh and delicious. What I thought was going to be a quick meal was anything but.

Food is good...not great. We went here after Gary Woo closed. I liked Gary Woo better. It's also a bit pricey.

Good quality and friendly service. A bit pricey, but hey ... It's Boca. Great place for family.

I am surprised by the horrible reviews, as we had a fine meal here (not mind blowing but certainly not bad) including Shrimp with Walnuts and beef lo mein and decent steamed pork dumplings. Nothing was slimy, and the A/C was on full blast - so it was not hot or uncomfortable. No issues for us - maybe we got lucky? Note - we did not happen to order any chicken dishes. House fried rice was quite tasty.

Do not order their chicken. It's slimy, has the texture of right rubber, and tastes bland. The manager is not open to feedback, wouldn't refund the food we barely touched and gave my girlfriend and I a hard time. Never going back. Don't order general tsao chicken or kung pao chicken.

OMG!!! What a twilight zone episode visit we had! I don't know what for the life of me made us wait and wait and wait to go there, but we did. Ugh!!!! Let me see, so we drive from Pembroke Pines to see the Grand parents as usual on Sunday, but this time I Yelped for Chinese and this misfortune cookie popped out like a " turd in the punch bowl" lemme tell ya! First off they open at 3pm on Sundays so that should have been a clue, but tell that to a hungry Jew from Coney Island when he is looking for a good Chinese lunch! So we got their early to be the crowds, lol, but it is 2:30, 2:45, 2:50 and no sign of lights or life, except for the Spanish only speaking guy with silver caps on his teeth and a dirty apron over his shoulder who said in works there and they are opening soon... So, like morons we wait and then like magic, a dirty old mini van screeches up and out come an Asian couple carrying bags of groceries and they scurried in to the restaurant. Mind you I have 4 kids with me, one is a screaming 7 month old girl plus my mom, handicapped father and 101 year young Uncle Benny with us, and they welcome us in. Here we go... The air conditioning was just turned on, can I say schvitz box? (sauna) for those not hip to the Yiddish slang... Anyway, only family there, which was good as that was the only table large enough for is that had a sticky wood lazy susan in the middle of the table. The noodles were warm and they were the wide kind made from like eggroll skins, good but we prefer the thin crunchy kind... They don't offer the combination dinner menu to us and the prices are like holy friggen cow, so whoever put only $$ must be outta their mind! They offer the combo dinners which is super limited and she said it is only for cash only! What the F?!?! So... to wrap this crazy review up... Soup was fresh, so fresh, it bearly had flavor... The portions are small and very pricey, like $11.95 for chow mein and for like literally 10 pieces of honey garlic chicken a staple almost everywhere, was miserable and we usually get the sauce on the side as you never can tell what it will be like, and it was reallly dark and had wayyyyy too much garlic. It does not come with fried rice, so my wife orders fried rice and they charged for it and we are foodies, so price is not the issue here, the cheap portion sizes are! Not to mention the overly greasy rice just was like oatmeal that sat out for a while. The egg rolls were dark and greasy as the oil was not hot enough (SHOCKER - NOT COMING IN UNTIL 5 MINUTES BEFORE SERVICE) and needed to be changed, I can tell, we used to own restaurants and a mobile catering company, besides the seafood rolls coming late, the were still frozen on the inside and had no seafood at all anyway, sent them back - a little bait and switch with no bait at all! The boneless ribs were dry the duck was oily and obviously not made then but just was dry and covered in grease, my dad just said f*ck it as he was hungry as hell so he just at it... The bill came up to $137.04 for four entrees, appetizers, soups and drinks... Ahhh I forgot to mention $10 for four scoops of freezer burned ice cream for the kids Holy Sh*t! It could have been cheaper going to coldstones! So never again will we just go to a Yelped place with such little reviews as besides the slow service, the hot and moldy smelling bathrooms we were the ONLY schmucks there!!! We definitely got Shanghaied!!! Don't fall pray, just stay away!!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
